- Official statewide checks: use the Colorado Bureau of Investigation's ICHC or fingerprint-based process, as appropriate
- Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report
- Record sealing or expungement: file through the court that handled the matter
For Sheriff records, contact the Huerfano County Sheriff's Office, 500 South Albert Street, Walsenburg, CO 81089, 719-738-1600. Published records hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to noon. The research notes that completed report delivery is by mail or fax even though a request may be dropped off, so confirm the current procedure before submitting.
